MK APPS PVT LTD ("we", "us", "our", or "Company") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how the Video Caption App ("App") handles information when you use our application, including our video captioning, AI caption generation, and AI Short Clip/Shorts generation features.

By downloading or using the App, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 No Account or Login Required

The App does not require you to create an account or log in.

We do not require you to provide your name, email address, phone number, username, password, or other account registration information in order to use the App.

However, certain features, particularly AI Short Clip/Shorts Generation, may use a device identifier or similar technical identifier to associate generated content and drafts with your device. This allows the App to recognize and recover applicable Short Clip content if you delete and later reinstall the App.

2. Videos, Images, Captions and Other User Content

The App may allow you to select, create, upload, process, or generate content such as:

Videos
Images
Text
Captions
Video clips
Short-form video content
AI-generated content
Other media or content that you choose to use with the App

Content that you select or create may be processed by the App to provide the requested features.

3. Video-to-Caption Data and Local Storage

The Video-to-Caption functionality may process videos and related content locally on your device.

Drafts, projects, captions, and other data associated with the Video-to-Caption functionality may be stored locally within the App.

Deletion of Local Video-to-Caption Data

Video-to-Caption data stored locally on your device is not intended to be recovered through our server after the App is deleted.

If you delete the App from your device, locally stored Video-to-Caption drafts and other locally stored App data may be deleted by the operating system.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of any content that you do not want to lose.

4. AI Short Clip / Shorts Generation and Cloud Storage

The App provides an AI Short Clip/Shorts Generation feature.

Unlike locally stored Video-to-Caption drafts, certain information and generated content associated with the AI Short Clip/Shorts Generation feature may be processed and stored on our servers or through third-party AI processing infrastructure.

This may include information such as:

Videos or media submitted for AI processing
AI processing information
Generated clips or shorts
Generated captions or related output
Processing status
Draft or project information
Technical identifiers
Device identifier associated with the App
Other information necessary to provide and recover the AI Short Clip/Shorts Generation feature

Device Identifier

Because the App does not require an account or login, we may use a device identifier or similar technical identifier to associate AI Short Clip/Shorts Generation data with your installation or device.

This allows us to identify applicable AI-generated drafts or projects associated with the device when you use the App again.

For example, if you delete the App and later reinstall it on the same device, certain Short Clip drafts or generated content may be available again because the applicable data may have been retained on our servers and associated with the device identifier.

The device identifier is used for functionality and content association and is not intended to identify you by your name or personal identity.

5. Deleting AI Short Clip / Shorts Data

AI Short Clip/Shorts data may be stored on our servers because it is required to provide the recovery and reuse functionality described above.

Deleting the App alone may not delete AI Short Clip/Shorts data stored on our servers.

If you want to permanently remove a Short Clip draft or related AI-generated content, you should use the Delete option available in the App's Drafts section and delete the applicable draft individually.

When you delete a Short Clip draft through the applicable deletion functionality in the App, we will process the deletion of the associated data from our systems, subject to technical processing time, legal requirements, backups, and applicable retention obligations.

If you want to remove AI Short Clip/Shorts content, please delete the applicable draft from the App before deleting the App.

6. AI Caption and Clip Shorts Generation

The App may provide AI-powered features that generate captions, text, clips, shorts, or other content based on information you provide.

When you use an AI-powered feature, the text, prompt, video, or other content necessary to provide the requested feature may be securely transmitted to and processed by our AI service providers or other third-party AI processing services.

The information sent for AI processing depends on the feature you choose to use and the content you provide.

AI processing may involve sending applicable content to remote servers rather than processing all content exclusively on your device.

7. AI Processing Notice

Before using an applicable AI generation feature, the App may display an AI processing notice explaining that your content may be processed by an AI service.

AI-generated results may vary and may not always be identical, accurate, complete, or unique.

8. Third-Party Videos, Links and Content

The App may allow you to provide or reference content from third-party platforms or sources, including videos or links that you have obtained from services such as YouTube or other third-party platforms.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, permissions, licenses, or authorization to use any third-party content that you submit, reference, download, process, or otherwise use with the App.

We do not claim ownership of third-party content.

We do not authorize or encourage users to download, reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit copyrighted content without appropriate permission.

You must comply with the terms, copyright policies, and applicable laws governing any third-party platform or content that you use.

9. AI Disclaimer and Responsible Use

AI-generated content is provided as a technology-assisted result and may not always be accurate, appropriate, complete, original, or suitable for your intended purpose.

You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated captions, clips, text, and other results before using, publishing, sharing, or distributing them.

You must not use the App or its AI features to create, process, or distribute unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative, infringing, or otherwise harmful content.

You must not use the App to violate another person's privacy, impersonate another person, infringe intellectual property rights, or facilitate illegal activities.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App and all content you submit or generate complies with applicable laws and third-party rights.

10. Analytics and App Usage Information

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how users interact with the App and to improve its functionality and performance.

Depending on your device settings and the applicable configuration, analytics information may include:

Feature usage
Screen or feature views
App events
Session-related information
Device type and operating system information
App version
Approximate technical information associated with App usage
Diagnostic and performance-related information

We may use Firebase Analytics to measure events such as feature usage, generation activity, subscription-related events, and other interactions with the App.

We do not use these events to create an account or user profile because the App does not require user registration.

13. Device Identifier

Certain functionality may require a technical device identifier to associate content or feature data with a particular device.

In particular, the AI Short Clip/Shorts Generation feature may use a device identifier to associate generated content and drafts with your device.

This allows the App to recover applicable Short Clip content when the App is reinstalled or used again on the same device.

The device identifier is used for technical functionality, content association, security, and service operation.

It is not used as a substitute for a user account and the App does not require you to create a personal account.

14. Subscriptions and Payments

The App may offer paid subscriptions or other in-app purchases through Apple's App Store.

Payments and subscription transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not directly collect or store your full payment card, bank account, or other payment credentials.

Apple may provide us with limited transaction or subscription information necessary to determine whether a purchase or subscription is active and to provide the associated functionality.

Your subscription is managed through your Apple account and Apple's App Store.

Cancelling a Subscription

You can manage or cancel an active subscription through your Apple account/App Store subscription settings.

Deleting the App does not necessarily cancel an active Apple subscription. You should cancel your subscription through Apple if you no longer want it to renew.

15. Third-Party Services

The App uses certain third-party services to provide analytics, crash reporting, AI processing, subscriptions, and other functionality.

These services may process technical information or content necessary to provide their respective services.

Third-party services used by the App may include:

Google Analytics for Firebase

Firebase Crashlytics

AI Processing Services

Apple App Store

Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions according to Apple's own policies and terms.

We only provide or transmit information to third-party services when reasonably necessary for the applicable functionality, operation, security, analytics, or legal requirements of the App.

18. Data Storage and Retention

Different App features may use different storage methods.

Video-to-Caption

Video-to-Caption drafts and related data may be stored locally on your device.

Deleting the App may delete the locally stored Video-to-Caption data.

AI Short Clip/Shorts Generation

AI Short Clip/Shorts data may be stored on our servers and/or processed through third-party AI infrastructure.

Applicable data may remain associated with your device identifier so that the App can recover your Short Clip drafts or generated content after reinstalling the App.

The retention period may depend on the nature of the data, the feature used, technical requirements, applicable third-party services, and legal obligations.

Deleting a Short Clip draft from the App's Drafts section is the available method for requesting deletion of that specific Short Clip data.

19. Data Deletion

19.1 Video-to-Caption Data

Video-to-Caption data stored locally within the App may be deleted when:

You delete the content from within the App, where deletion functionality is available; or
You delete the App from your device.

Deleting the App may remove locally stored Video-to-Caption data from your device.

19.2 AI Short Clip/Shorts Data

AI Short Clip/Shorts data may be stored on our servers and associated with your device identifier.

Therefore:

Deleting the App does not necessarily delete AI Short Clip/Shorts data stored on our servers.

If you want to delete a Short Clip draft or generated Short Clip data, please open the Drafts section of the App and delete the applicable draft individually.

Once deleted through the applicable in-App deletion functionality, the associated data will be processed for deletion from our systems, subject to technical processing time, backups, legal requirements, and applicable retention obligations.

Please note that because the App does not require an account, we may need sufficient technical information to identify the applicable data or device-associated record before processing a request.

20. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed through the App against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Where information is transmitted to our servers or third-party services, appropriate technical measures are used where applicable to help protect the transmission.

However, no electronic transmission, storage system, or method of processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Some of our third-party service providers may process information on servers located outside your country of residence.

As a result, information processed through the App may be transferred to and processed in other countries.

Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable privacy laws for such transfers.
